Well...we'll just wait and see

So last week we got a call from the guy who has been showing us the houses and he told us that the house in American Fork is going on an auction.  Bummer!  So we started looking elsewhere and soon found out that those houses were going on auction.  More houses were short sale only and nothing seemed to be going for us.  So we have decided to call off the search for awhile.  I have also felt that it is not quite time to move yet as well.  So we will stick around in Lehi for a season and start looking again this summer.

Speaking of summer, Carolyn and I have decided that it is time to go fishing again.  It is too cold now to go, cause I'm a wimp and Dad can second that, so we are just going to have to wait.  Here is a list of things that we will need: 1-Babysitter (Jessica) 2-Boat (Dad) 3-Poles (Mom and Dad) 4-Tackle (Dad) 5- Bait (Mom and Dad) 6- Truck to pull boat (Dad) 7-Guide service (Mom and Dad) 8-Free night from school and work (Friday or Saturday) 9- License (Check, got that last October), and that about sums it up. So we will get working on this list and pull a few strings and viola, we will be fishing.  This all came about when we pulled out some smoked trout today and just started craving more of this sweet, succulent, morsels of the great Deer Creek Reservoir.

So about our family.  Carolyn is going to school and is just dlying by the assignments so far.  I don't know how much stress she is taking on from these assignments, but she seems to handle them just fine.  I ofcourse am trying to help out as much as I can.  I have even helped her out answer some of her questions. :) "Two minds are better than one", as the saying goes.  She can't believe that she has been in school for a month already.  One down and around 47 more to go!

We have decided to go without sweets for the month of Febuary.  It is going to be hard and challenging for the both of us and we are going to need all of your support.  It is just one of our new year's goals.  We are going into it with a bang and ending it with a bang.  At the end of Febuary is Carolyn's birthday and we are going to party!!!  So no sweets mom!!!

Caleb is growing and is all so fast.  He is getting better and better and sitting up and standing up all by himself.  The sitting up part is ofcourse better than the standing up part.  He is eating his rice cereal better and better every night, but still manages to get it all over the place.  He is such a big boy.

Ginger is...well...Ginger. Playfull, lazy, happy when I come home, sad when I leave, hungry, sometimes thirsty and most of all, a dog.  She keeps us company and always lets us know she is around.

So that's the news from KPSK...KKSP.....SKPK....oh never mind.  I'm Brandon signing out.

A new hunting season experience

So everyone in their lives at some point has to go hunting.  It doesn't where, when or what you are hunting for, you will go hunting.  For me one hunting season has passed and another has followed close behind.  It has been interesting and a completely new experience for me and Carolyn.  The emotions, the excitement, the wonder is all so new, so real.  For the first time in our lives we will be getting one.  We don't now when   but we feel we are going to bag one soon.  No I'm not talking about an animal, I'm talking about a house!

We have told you about one in American Fork that we like and have seen recently.  Well yesterday we looked at a house in Lehi.  Wow, that was interesting.  We don't know who lived there but we could only guess.  The house was built in 1920!  That there should give you an idea of the look it was like.  There were some parts of the house that was newer.  Some parts of the floor in the same room was on a incline.  Dust was covering some light fixtures.  The cabinets needed to be repainted.  Molding had to be done too.  The house was a "fixer upper".  The thing that drew us there was that it is cheap and has a big yard for Ginger and Caleb and whoever wants to come into our family.  The guy who was showing us the house said that he has seen a lot of stuff, doing his job.  He has seen worse!  It is just amazing that people live in those situations.  I am sure that they don't mean to get there.  It just happens slowly over time and they adjust to the slow changes.  I am sure that the people or person that was living there was elderly and couldn't do most of the stuff that needed to be fixed.  I feel bad that this is somewhat a common thing to happen to elderly people.  So needless to say, I don't think we are getting that house.  Sure we are still looking and keeping the house in American Fork in mind.  Wish us luck and pray for us to find the house to where we need to be.  Until next time

Growing Up! All of us!

Well we have hit several landmarks this past month.  We will start with Caleb's since he is the cutest one around here.  So we believe that he is starting to want to eat more solid foods.  Yesterday we gave him some rice cereal and he just loved it.  He was so excited to eat it, it was the cutest thing.  It was also so fun to finally start feeding him with a spoon.  Of course he did not know how to keep it all in his mouth or eat from a spoon, so 1/4 of it all, or maybe even half went onto his bib and face.   So our plan is to feed him some once a day, in the evening, some rice cereal and work our way to more every week.  Watching him grow up and reach these milestones is just great.  He still can't quite sit up by himself but he is getting stronger every day.  He is also mister grabby.  He wants to touch or hold or suck on almost everything.  HE IS A STUD.

Our little milestone is that we think but nothing is in the works yet,we have found our future home.  It is in American Fork and if you want to google map it, it is 224 W Pacific Dr.  It is just a small starter home that we think will be just perfect if we could get the financing.  So we will let you know how that goes for us.

As for that we don't have much else to say or announce. Everything is going great at work, school, and babysitters.  So here are some pics for you all to enjoy.  Talk to you next time
